| (1) | The Minister of Public Service and Administration determined, in terms of section 3(4)(b)(i) of the Public Service Act, 1994, the following functions for the IA: |
| (a) | facilitating state security training of persons in the state security establishment; and |
| (b) | promoting quality education and training by establishing and operating an Intelligence Education and Training Quality Assurance Authority. |
| (2) | The Head must ensure the performance of the functions of the IA. |
