An applicant whose application has been registered in terms of section 20 may, at any time before or after the granting of a plant breeder’s right, apply in the prescribed manner to the Registrar for the amendment of that application, subject to the approval of the Registrar and upon payment of the prescribed non-refundable fee: Provided that such amendment does not affect the description of the variety which is the subject of the application.
