The Regulations to the Act have been amended by Notice No. R.955, as published in Gazette 21583 and dated 27 September 2000.

The Draft Code of Good Practice on key aspects of HIV/AIDS and Employment, as published in Gazette 21089 and dated 25 April, has been added to the Act.

The General Administrative Regulations have been added to the Act as published in Gazette 20339 and dated the 6 August 1999.

Code of Good Practice regarding Preparation, Implementation and Monitoring of EE Plans as published in Gazette 20626, dated 23 November 1999.

As published in Government Gazette Number 20057. Chapter IV of this Act came into operation on 14 May 1999.Chapter II and sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 34, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 54, 55, 56, 57, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, and Schedules 2 and 3 came into operation on the 9 August 1999.Chapter III and sections 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 58, 65 of the Act and Schedules 1 and 4 came into operation on 1 December 1999.
