Public Funding of Represented Political Parties Act, 1997

To establish the Represented Political Parties’ Fund with a view to making provision for the funding of political parties participating in Parliament and provincial legislatures; to provide for the management of that Fund by the Electoral Commission and for accountability regarding that Fund; to regulate the allocation of moneys from that Fund and the purposes for which allocated moneys may be used by poIitical parties; and to provide for incidental matters.
