Marine Pollution (Prevention of Pollution from Ships) Act, 1986 |

To provide for the protection of the sea from pollution by oil and other harmful substances discharged from ships, and for that purpose to give effect to the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973, as amended by the Protocol of 1978; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
