I, Bonginkosi Emmanuel Nzimande, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, in terms regulation 10(8)(a) and (c) of the Disaster Management Act, 2002: Regulations relating to COVID-19, Government Notice R398 of 2020 published in Government Gazette No. 43107 of 18 March 2020 read with section 36(b) of the Skills Development Act, 1998 and regulation 4(1) and (3) of The Sector Education and Training Authorities Grant Regulations regarding monies received by SETAS and Related Matters, 2012, in Government Notice No. R990, published in Government Gazette No. 35940 of 3 December 2012, hereby issue a directive and grant an extension for the submission of the 2020/2021 financial year applications for mandatory grant by levy paying employers in terms of regulation 4(1) of the Seta Grant Regulations, 2012 as prescribed in subreguiation (3) as set out in the Schedule.

 

This directive shall come into effect on the publication of this Notice.

Schedule

 

For the financial year 2020/2021, an application for a mandatory grant in terms of Regulation 4(1) of the SETA grant Regulations must be submitted by 31 July 2020.
