A member must vacate his or her office if—
| (a) |
he or she becomes disqualified in terms of section 6 from being appointed as a member; |
| (b) |
he or she has been absent from more than two consecutive ordinary meetings of the Council without leave of the Council; |
| (c) |
he or she tenders his or her resignation in writing to the Minister and the Minister accepts his or her resignation; |
| (d) |
he or she becomes impaired to the extent that he or she is unable to carry out his or her duties as a member of the Council; or |
| (e) |
he or she ceases to hold any qualification necessary for his or her appointment to the Council. |
