| 1) | The Minister may, subject to any law governing the award of contracts by the State, with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Public Works, enter into a contract with any party to design, construct, finance and operate any correctional centre or part of a correctional centre established or to be established in terms of section 5. |
| 2) | The contract period in respect of the operation of a correctional centre may not be for more than 25 years. |
