South African Nursing Council
DEFINITION
(1) | In this notice, "the regulations" means the Regulations Regarding Fees and Fines Payable to the South African Nursing Council published by Government Notice No. R. 170 of 8 March 2013. |
ANNUAL FEES
(2) | The amounts of the annual fee referred to in 2(1)(c) of the regulations have been determined by the Council as shown in the table below. |
(3) | These amounts apply to annual fees in respect of the annual fee year 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026, which may be paid from 1 July 2025, and which must be received by Council before or on 31 December 2025 (final date to receive payment). |
(4) | These annual fee amounts will apply to all subsequent annual fee years until such time that the fees are amended by a notice in the Gazette. |
(5) | The 25% discount applies to practitioners who are or will be 60 to 64 years of age on 1 January 2026. |
(6) | The 50% discount applies to practitioners who are or will be 65 years of age or older on 1 January 2026. |

(*) | To qualify for the 25% discount, a practitioner must be 60 to 64 years of age on 1 January 2026. |
(**) | To qualify for the 50% discount, a practitioner must be 65 years of age or older on 1 January 2026. |
N.B. | To qualify for the discount amounts, a practitioner may be required to submit a certified copy of his/her identity document in order to confirm his /her age. Also note that the amounts charged are rounded to the nearest R10.00. |
RESTORATION FEES
(7) | The amounts of the restoration fees referred to in 2(1)(y) and (z) of the regulations have been determined by the Council as shown in the table below. |
(8) | These restoration fee amounts will apply from 1 January 2026. |
(9) | The reduced restoration fee only applies to: |
(a) | those practitioners who were removed from the register at their own request; or |
(b) practitioners who are or will be 60 years of age or older on 1 January 2026.
