12. Registration of manufacturers, builders, importers, and service providers

 

(1) Any person who manufactures, builds or imports any commodity or product, or provides a service, subject to a compulsory specification, shall register with the National Regulator within six months from the effective date of these regulations coming into force. Thereafter all manufacturers, builders or importers of any commodity or product, or providers of a service, subject to a compulsory specification, shall register with the National Regulator within 30 days of commencing operation as a manufacturer, builder or importer or a provider of services.

 

(2) Application for registration in terms of subregulation (1) shall be done on a duly completed form provided by the National Regulator.

 

(3) The National Regulator shall issue a registration certificate to a person registering in terms of subregulation (1).

 

(4) Any change in the information provided to the National Regulator in terms of sub regulation (2) shall be notified by the registered person to the National Regulator within 30 days of such change taking place. Such changed information shall be notified by completion of the form contemplated in subregulation (2).

 

(5) An amended registration certificate shall be issued by the National Regulator.
