Chapter 9 : General Aspects in Resolving Complaints

38. Facilitation of resolution

(1) The Public Protector may, in order to expedite and facilitate the achievement of a mutually acceptable outcome—
(a) express an opinion on the merits of the complaint or aspects thereof; or
(b) advise the parties to the dispute on any appropriate course of action.

 

(2) Any dispute resolution sessions or proceedings shall be held at the office of the Public Protector in the province were the complaint or matter arose, unless the Public Protector directs otherwise.
