In terms of section 17(4A)(a) of the Road Accident Fund Act, No. 56 of 1996, the statutory cap on claims for loss of income or loss of support has been adjusted to R390 664.00 per annum by notice in the Government Gazette. The adjustment is effective immediately and is issued quarterly to counter the effects of Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation.
