National House of Traditional Leaders Act, 2009 (Act No. 22 of 2009)7. Filling of vacancies |
| 1) | Where a vacancy occurs in the House the Minister must, within 14 days, inform the relevant Premier of such a vacancy. |
| 2) | A vacancy in the House must be filled, within 45 days, by the election of a member for the unexpired portion of the term of office of the member in whose place he or she is elected, and in the same manner in which the previous member was elected. |
| 3) | A vacancy must be filled in accordance with sections 3 and 4. |
