61. Closure objectives

 

(1) Closure objectives form part of the environmental authorisation, as the case may be, and must—

(a) identify the key objectives for mine closure to guide the project design, development and management of environmental impacts in accordance with the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 and the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014;

(b) provide broad future land use objective(s) for the site; and
(c) provide proposed closure costs in accordance with the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 and the Financial Provision Regulations, 2015.
