| (1) | The Minister may, subject to such conditions as he or she may impose, delegate or assign to the Chief Executive Officer any power or duty conferred or imposed on him or her by this Act, except the power to make regulations. |
| (2) | The Chief Executive Officer may, subject to such conditions as he or she may impose, delegate or assign any power or duty— |
| (a) | conferred or imposed on him or her in terms of this Act; or |
| (b) | delegated or assigned to him or her by the Minister in terms of subsection (1), |
to any market surveillance inspector or verification officer.
