| (1) | The Council must appoint academic, administrative support and technical employees in accordance with the applicable legislation and the employment policies of the University, and must determine the salaries and other forms of remuneration of employees, and other terms and conditions of service, including disciplinary measures. |
| (2) | A permanent academic employee must be appointed after consultation with the Senate. |
