I, Alexander Erwin, Minister of Trade and Industry, do hereby exercise the powers vested in me under section 16 of the Usury Act, 1968, as set out in the Schedule.
Schedule
| 1) | In this schedule any word to which a meaning has been ascribed in the Usury Act, 1968, shall have the meaning ascribed to it in the Act, and |
"personal information" means information such as pin codes and bank cards.
| 2) | No person shall make use of personal information as |
| i) | security for any money lending transaction; or |
| ii) | collection arrangement. |
| 3) | Any person acting in contravention of this schedule shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to the penalties prescribed in section 17 of the Usury Act, 1968. |
