Chapter 2

22. Prohibition of receipt of compensation or benefits

 

(1) No—
(a) member or employee of Boxing SA;
(b) person who administers or enforces boxing laws; or
(c) member of an association or federation of associations contemplated in section 28, may be employed by enter into an agreement with or receive any compensation or benefit from a promoter, boxer, manager or any person who sanctions, arranges or promotes professional boxing matches or who otherwise has a financial interest in a boxer registered as such by Boxing SA.

 

(2) Any person contemplated in subsection (1) may be compelled by Boxing SA, in writing, to disclose all compensation and benefits he or she has received or donated, as the case may be.

 

(3) For purposes of this section, "compensation" does not include funds held in trust for payment to another person in connection with a professional boxing match.
