| (1) | Subject to section 28(1)(b)(i), the MEC of a province may enter into an agreement with the chief executive officer in terms of which the Corporation must perform any stipulated function allocated to the MEC in terms of the National Road Traffic Act, 1996 (Act No. 93 of 1996), or any other law relating to road traffic, on behalf of the MEC. |
| (2) | An agreement contemplated in subsection (1) comes into operation on the date of its publication in the Gazette and every Provincial Gazette. |
