| (2) | The Minister must designate one of the members appointed under subsection (1) as chairperson of the Authority. |
| (3) | If the chairperson for any reason is unable to perform his or her duties, the other members must choose another person from among themselves to act as chairperson until the chairperson can resume his or her duties or another chairperson is designated by the Minister. |
| (4) |
| (a) | A member of the Authority holds office for a period of four years. |
| (b) | The Minister may reappoint a member. |
| (c) | If a member of the Authority ceases to hold office, the Minister may appoint another person in his or her place for the remainder of the term of office of that member. |
| (5) | Members of the Authority must be paid for their services such remuneration and allowances as the Authority may determine with the approval of the Minister and with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance. |
