PART A – INTRODUCTION AND DEFINITIONS
The South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA) may recover costs for services rendered in terms of the provisions of section 25(2) of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA). Applications submitted to SAHRA must be accompanied by proof of payment of fees listed in part B of this notice, taking effect from 1 August 2025 until further notice.
Exemptions may be granted at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer of SAHRA per the Provisions of SAHRA’s Policy on Levying Fees for Services.
Payment of the applicable fee, unless waived, must be made by deposit into the following bank account:

Unless listed here, terms used shall have the meaning assigned in section 2 of the NHRA.
‘Reproduction’ means any film, photograph, or other form of recording in two or three dimensions.
‘SAHRIS’ means the South African Heritage Resources Information System.
‘Specifically declared’ means by listing in part II of the Register referred to in section 32(7) of the NHRA, or by notice in the Government Gazette under the previous Act referred to in section 58(7f) of the NHRA.
