| (1) | The amounts referred to in regulations 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10 must be increased automatically with 8% on 1 January 2016 and thereafter on the first day of January of every consecutive year. |
| (2) | The accounting officer must, by not later than 31 January of each year— |
| (a) | publish the new amounts in the Gazette; and |
| (b) | in writing inform the Director-General of the new amounts, who must make this information available on the website of the Department. |
| (3) | The provisions of subregulations (1) and (2) are applicable in respect of the amounts referred to in regulation 8A(1): Provided that the first increase will take effect on 1 January 2018. |

| (4) | The provisions of subregulation (1) are applicable in respect of the amounts referred to in regulation 8B(6)(a) and (b) and 8C(1): Provided that the first increase will take effect on 1 January 2020. |
