| (1) |
The HOD may, after consideration of an application contemplated in regulations 14 and 15, if— |
| (a) |
not all the conditions for registration have been complied with; and |
| (b) |
in his or her opinion— |
| (i) |
the conditions contemplated in paragraph (a) can be complied with within a period not exceeding 12 months; and |
| (ii) |
non-compliance with the conditions and requirements contemplated in paragraph (a) shall not have an adverse effect on the quality of service to, and the interest of service users if such conditions are met within a period not exceeding 12 months, |
grant temporary registration and issue a temporary registration certificate in a form substantially similar to Certificate B of Annexure G.
| (2) |
A temporary registration certificate must be— |
| (a) |
for a period not exceeding 12 months; and |
| (b) |
subject to the applicant— |
| (i) |
complying within a period not exceeding 12 months with any conditions that the HOD may impose; and |
| (ii) |
providing quarterly progress reports with regard to his or her compliance with the conditions imposed by the HOD. |
