Animal Improvement Act: Draft Animal Identification Regulations Published for Comment

In terms of the Animal Improvement Act, No. 62 of 1998, the proposed regulations introduce revised standards and administrative mechanisms governing animal identification systems across the agricultural sector.
Interested and affected parties are invited to submit written representations on the proposed framework ahead of the gazetted deadline of 29 December 2026.
