Subject to regulation 6, the Regulator must, prior to the imposition of a penalty in accordance with of regulation 4(1), serve a contravention notice on the operator.
The contravention notice contemplated in subregulation (1) must specify—
| (a) |
the name of the operator who contravened the Act; |
| (b) |
the description of the contravention; |
| (c) |
the place where the contravention occurred; |
| (d) |
the date when the contravention occurred; |
| (e) |
the amount of the penalty intended to be imposed; |
| (f) |
the manner in which the penalty must be paid; and |
| (g) |
the time frame for the payment of the penalty. |
