Chapter 3 : Declaration of Protected Areas

Purchase

(1)	A declaration under section 23(1) may only be withdrawn—

(a)	in the case of a declaration by the Minister, by resolution of the National Assembly;

(b)	in the case of a declaration by the MEC, by resolution of the legislature of the relevant province; or

(c)	in terms of subsection (2).

(2)	If the Minister or MEC, or the other party to an agreement, withdraws from an agreement referred to in section 23(3), the Minster or MEC must withdraw the notice in terms of which the land in question was declared a nature reserve or part of an existing nature reserve.
