Any person who makes or concurs in making any statement, report or financial statement in relation to an application in terms of section 66(1) of the Act which is false or misleading in any material respect or which contains an omission which makes the application as submitted misleading, shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to the penalties applicable in respect of the crime of perjury.
