The population register referred to in section 5 of the Act shall be compiled and maintained by the inclusion in it of the particulars referred to in section 8 of the Act in respect of every person to whom the Act applies in terms of section 2 thereof from—
| (a) | the available information referred to in section 2 of the Act; and |
| (b) | the information furnished to the Director-General in accordance with the provisions of the Act. |
