8. Meetings of the council

 

(1) The council shall hold at least two meetings in each year at venues to be determined by the council, and may in addition hold such further meetings as the council may from time to time determine.

 

(2)
(a) The president may at any time convene a special meeting of the council, to be held on such date and at such place as he may determine and he shall, upon a written request by the Minister or a written request signed by at least one third of the total number of members, convene a special meeting to be held, within thirty days after the date of receipt of the request, on such a date and at such a place as he or she may determine.
(b) The request must clearly state the purpose of the meeting.
