| (1) | For purposes of section 15(1)(a) and (5) of the Act, the threshold for pre-authorisation of repair or maintenance services generally is R1.00 (One Rand) excluding value added tax, unless differently provided for by regulation or industry code contemplated in section 82 of the Act. |
| (2) | An estimate must specify— |
| (a) | a breakdown and the total of the amount to be charged if the repair or maintenance is effected; |
| (b) | the nature and extent of the repair or maintenance; |
| (c) | the period of validity of the quote; and |
| (d) | the period within which the consumer must collect the goods and the consequence if he or she or it does not do so. |
