15. Delegation of powers and assignment of duties by Director-General

 

(1) The Director-General may—
(a) delegate to any officer of the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform or, with the prior approval of the Premier of the province concerned, to any officer in the service of that provincial government, any power conferred upon him or her by or under this Act, either generally or in a particular case;

(b) authorise any such officer to perform any duty assigned to him or her by or under this Act.

(2) Any delegation under this section shall not prevent the exercise of the relevant power by the Director-General himself or herself, and the Director-General shall be entitled to rescind, review or withdraw any decision or action taken by any person to whom he or she has delegated any power.
