The endorsement by the Standing Committee of an application as an abandoned application as contemplated in section 22(12) of the Act must be made on Form 3 contained in the Annexure. |
| (2) |
The Refugee Reception Office Manager shall refer or cause an abandoned application to be referred following an endorsement by the Standing Committee as contemplated in subregulation (1), to an immigration officer to deal with such a person as contemplated in section 22(13) of the Act. |
| (3) |
Compelling reasons as contemplated in section 22(12) of the Act shall relate to— |
| (a) |
entry into a Witness Protection Programme; |
| (c) |
arrest without bail; or |
| (d) |
any other similar compelling reasons, |
and must be supported by documentary evidence.
