The Council for Medical Schemes established by section 3 and any committee appointed under section 10 of the Medical Schemes Act, 1967 (Act No. 72 of 1967), shall be deemed to have been appointed in terms of sections 3(1) and 9(1), respectively, of this Act for a period of six months as from the date of commencement of this Act.
