The chairperson of the board, every other member and any person appointed as a member of a committee, who is not in the full-time service of the State may, in respect of services rendered by him or her in connection with the affairs of the board or a committee, be paid by the NSFAS –
| a) | such travelling, subsistence and other allowances; and |
| b) | in the case of the chairperson of the board, such additional remuneration, as the Minister, with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance, may determine. |
