42. Powers and duties of Minister as trustee

 

(1) The Minister must do whatever is necessary to achieve the object of the Trust.

 

(2) The Minister may, as trustee—
(a) act on the advice of the Committee on Forest Access;
(b) solicit and receive donations and sponsorships;
(c) receive funds appropriated by Parliament;
(d) contract;
(e) use money in the Fund;
(f) cooperate with any organ of State or person;
(g) commission research;
(h) provide environmental education;
(i) provide information and other public services;
(j) charge fees for goods the Trust supplies and services it renders; and
(k) delegate any of his or her powers and duties as trustee to a named official in the Department.
