| a) |
has the qualifications prescribed under section 13; |
| b) |
has obtained a certificate of physical fitness in the prescribed form; |
| c) |
has attained the age of fifteen years; and |
| d) |
is not required by law to attend any school, |
may, subject to and in accordance with the provisions of this Act, bind himself as an apprentice in any designated trade.
| 2) |
If any such person is a minor he shall be assisted by his guardian. |
| 3) |
Any minor may so bind himself so as to complete the training prescribed under section 13 in respect of the designated trade in question, after his majority. |
| 4) |
With the approval of the training board in question any person who may bind himself as an apprentice in terms of subsection (1), (2) or (3) may so bind himself with more than one employer, subject to the inclusion in the contract of apprenticeship of such conditions as to the respective obligations of the different employers as may be determined by that training board after consultation with the training committee in question or, if there be none, with the employers in question. |
