Where an employee acts for more than half a shift in a higher-graded position, an acting allowance will be payable on the following basis:
| 21.1. | When acting in a position within the Bargaining Unit, the employee shall be paid the minimum rate for the higher position. |
| 21.2. | In respect of the Bargaining Unit employee acting in a position outside the Bargaining Unit, the company custom and practice shall apply. |
