(1)
| (a) |
No person may be present during any proceedings in terms of this Act except— |
| (a) |
officers of the court; |
| (b) |
the parties to the proceedings; |
| (d) |
any legal representative representing any party to the proceedings; |
| (f) |
not more than three persons for the purpose of providing support to the complainant; |
| (g) |
not more than three persons for the purpose of providing support to the respondent; and |
| (h) |
any other person whom the court permits to be present: |
Provided that the court may, if it is satisfied that it is in the interests of justice, exclude any person from attending any part of the proceedings.
| (b) |
Nothing in this subsection limits any other power of the court to hear proceedings in camera or to exclude any person from attending such proceedings. |
(2)
| (a) |
No person may publish in any manner any information which might, directly or indirectly, reveal the identity of any party to the proceedings. |
| (b) |
The court, if it is satisfied that it is in the interests of justice, may direct that any information relating to proceedings held in terms of this Act may not be published: Provided that no direction in terms of this subsection applies in respect of the publication of a bona fide law report which does not mention the names or reveal the identities of the parties to the proceedings or of any witness at such proceedings. |
