| (1) |
Within six months after the end of the Competition Commission's financial year, the Commissioner must prepare and submit to the Minister an annual report in the prescribed form, including— |
| (a) |
the audited financial statements prepared in terms of section 40(9); |
| (b) |
the auditor's report prepared in terms of section 40(10); |
| (c) |
a report of activities undertaken in terms of its functions set out in this Act; |
| (d) |
a statement of the progress achieved during the preceding year towards realisation of the purposes of this Act; and |
| (e) |
any other information that the Minister, by notice in the Gazette, determines. |
| (2) |
The Minister must table in the National Assembly each annual report submitted in terms of subsection (1)— |
| (a) |
within 10 business days after receiving that report from the Competition Commission, or |
| (b) |
if Parliament is not then sitting, within 10 business days after the commencement of the next sitting. |
