15. Payment for work on a Sunday
|Whenever an employee works on a Sunday, the employer shall either—
|pay the employee—
|if he or she works for a period not exceeding four hours, not less than the daily wage; and
|if he or she works for a period exceeding four hours, at a rate of not less than double the ordinary wage in respect of the total period worked on such Sunday, or not less than double the daily wage, whichever is the greater; or
|pay the employee at a rate of not less than one and a third times his or her ordinary wage in respect of the total period worked on such Sunday, and grant the employee within seven days of such Sunday one day's leave, which shall not constitute annual leave in terms of clause 17, and pay him or her in respect thereof not less than the daily wage: Provided that where such an employee is required or permitted to work for less than four hours on such Sunday he or she shall be deemed to have worked for four hours.
