Under Section 12(3)(a) of the Unemployment Insurance Act, 2001 (Act No. 63 of 2001) as amended, I, MEMBATHISI MPHUMZI SHEPHERD MDLADLANA, Minister of Labour, hereby amend the rate of earnings referred to in Government Notice No. 28909 of 2 June 2006, from one hundred and thirty nine thousand nine hundred and forty four rand per annum (R139 944) to one hundred and forty nine thousand seven hundred and thirty six rand per annum (R 149 736) / twelve thousand four hundred and seventy eight rand per month (R 12 478) / two thousand eight hundred and seventy nine rand and fifty three cents per week (R 2 879.53) with effect from 1 October 2007.
