A medical practitioner as contemplated in regulation 5(1)(b) must be a person:
| (a) |
who is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa; |
| (b) |
who has at least five years post-registration experience in the practise of medicine; |
| (c) |
whose registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa has not been revoked; |
| (d) |
who is fit and proper to make assessments in relation to appeals in terms of section 18(2)(b) of the Act ; |
| (e) |
who is not in the full-time employ of the public health service or in the full-time or part-time employ of the Agency; and |
| (f) |
whose appointment will not give rise to a conflict of interests. |
