Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary in these Regulations, the Fitness Board may, subject to the Promotion of Administrative of Justice Act referred to above, refuse to register any person as referred to regulation 2(3) or to remove the name of any person to the register if, in the opinion of the Fitness Board, such person is by reason of a conviction, in the Republic or elsewhere, of a prescribed offence, not fit to practise as a fitness professional.
