Military Pensions Act, 1976 (Act No. 84 of 1976)

22. Administration of Act

 

(1) The Minister shall administer this Act.

 

(2) The Minister may delegate to the Director-General or any other person in the Department of Health and Welfare any of the powers, except the powers conferred by sections 16 and 23, conferred upon him by  this Act, and may authorise the Director-General or such a person to perform any of the functions or to  carry out any of the duties which are assigned to or imposed on the Minister by this Act.

(3) The Director-General may, with the approval of the Minister, delegate to any officer of his Department any of the powers conferred upon the Director-General by this Act and authorise any such officer to perform any of the functions and carry out any of the duties assigned to or imposed on the Director-General by this Act.

 

(4) The Director-General may for sound reasons withdraw any decision of an officer under any power delegated to him under subsection (3).
