Allocations and grants per province and municipality

I, Pravin Gordhan, in my capacity as the Minister of Finance, hereby publish, in accordance with sections 8(3) and 14(1)(a)-(d) of the Division of Revenue Act, 2011 (Act No. 6 of 2011), the allocations per municipality for each Schedule 3, 4, 6 and 7 grant to local government, Schedule 7 allocations to provinces, Schedule 8 incentive allocations to provinces and municipalities, and the provincial and local government frameworks for each Schedule 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 grant.

The following schedules in respect of Provincial Government Conditional Grant allocations (Schedules 7 and 8) and Local Government Conditional Grant Allocations (Schedules 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 ) (National and Municipal Financial Years) are set out hereunder:-

 

• Schedule 3: Equitable share and total allocations to Municipalities;
• Appendix to Schedule 3: Equitable share formula allocations + RSC levies replacement + special contribution towards Councillor remuneration;
• Appendix to Schedule 3: Equitable share allocations to Municipalities (Breakdown of equitable share allocations per local Municipality per service for District Municipalities authorised for services);
• Schedules 4, 6 and 9: Infrastructure grant allocations to Municipalities;
• Appendix to Schedule 5: Breakdown of EPWP Social Sector allocations per Provincial Department for the 2011/12 financial year;
• Schedule 6: Specific purpose allocations to Municipalities : Recurrent grants;
• Appendix to Schedule 6: Municipal Infrastructure grant (Breakdown of MIG allocations per local Municipality for District Municipalities authorised for services);
• Schedule 7: Allocations-In-Kind to Provinces and Allocations-In-Kind to Municipalities;
• Appendix to Schedule 7: Regional Bulk Infrastructure grant (Breakdown of Regional bulk infrastructure grant allocations per local Municipality per project); and
• Schedule 8: Incentives to Municipalities to meet targets to priority Government programmes
