A student may be funded for a maximum of n+1 by the state at the same NQF Level in a nationally approved qualification unless a motivation by the college is made by means of a special request to the DHET for an extension for funding. A student will therefore be expected to pay the full programme cost if no longer funded by the state. A student with disability may be funded for up to a maximum of n+2.
