Following the investigation into inter alia Dunamus and Itereleng, the Committee, with the approval of the Minister, undertook a section 8(1)(b) investigation in terms of the Act into money revolving or pyramid schemes (4). After having considered Report 63 the Minister, in terms of section 12(6)(a)(iii) of the Act, gave notice that he intended to publish a notice in the Government Gazette declaring a number of business practices unlawful. One of these business practices is "controlled" chain letters.
