National Advisory Council on Innovation Act, 1997 (Act No. 55 of 1997)5. Composition of NACI |
| (1) | NACI shall consist of— |
| (a) | a chairperson appointed by the Minister; |
| (b) | 16 to 20 members appointed by the Minister after consultation with the Ministers Committee, and after submission to the Cabinet for notification; |
| (c) | the chief executive officer of NACI; |
| (d) | an officer of the Department of Trade and Industry appointed by the Minister with the concurrence of the Minister of Trade and Industry. |
| (2) | The members of NACI referred to in— |
| (a) | subsection (1)(a) and (b) shall be appointed in their personal capacity and serve on a part-time basis; |
| (b) | subsection (1)(c) and (d) shall serve or be appointed, as the case may be, in their official capacity. |
