An offshore installation shall—
| (a) |
be designed for or adapted to the purpose for which it is used or is to be used; |
| (b) |
be constructed in accordance with the appropriate code of practice and of materials complying with the recognised standard specifications; |
| (c) |
be used and operated in accordance with its design requirements and in accordance with the operating instructions issued to users thereof; and |
| (d) |
comply, in its construction, use and operation, with— |
| (i) |
the requirements of all applicable laws; and |
| (ii) |
the requirements, where applicable, of a ship classification society or similar institution. |
