overtime

means that portion of any period during which an employee works for his employer during any week or on any day, as the case may be, which exceeds the ordinary working hours which that employee can in terms of -

a) any condition of apprenticeship;
b) any provision of the Factories, Machinery and Building Work Act, 1941 (Act No. 22 of 1941), of the Shops and Offices Act, 1964 (Act No. 75 of 1964), or of a notice in terms of any of those Acts; or
c) any wage regulating measure,

which is applicable in respect of that employee, be required to work during that week or on that day, as the case may be, but shall not include any period during which that employee works for his employer on a Sunday;
